Please don't tell me that you thought that the Taliban and other muslim religious extremist groups were opposed to Bush because he's a Republican. Change, "Damn Crusader Bush bombing our homes and children" to "Damn sodomite lover Obama bombing our homes and children" and we're talking a whole new level of hatred to deal with.
nb. Just to make it clear, I'm not particular opposed to gay rights in any fashion, but rather looking at our politics from the point of a Taliban 17yr old boy with an AK and too many hormones. Personally, I think the gay issue is more boring than tax code law dealing with the growing of carrots, but thats just me.

I think many who voted for Obama believed just that point. The media fed it to them. Then with O's recent speech in Egypt, what rational person would not see the light. How could those dear sweet jihadist not see HIS vision? O admitted any, all, and created a few faults of the US, apolgy not accepted? The left believes the only irrational hatefilled people are conservatives.

Apparently Russia has agreed to allow its airspace for US troops. Russia has shown a slightly hostile neutrality in this so far, a change to positive neutrality would be a fair bit of change. Im not sure what Putin is up too whether the crash in oil prices has knocked him down a peg or if he is genuinely looking for a new relationship with the US, provided this is Putin and not Medved.
Putins grip on power tends to make Russia an easy country to analyse, but not always.
